Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are infections
you can get from having sex with someone infected. Sexually transmitted
disease is also known as sexually transmitted infections. Infections are
passed from one person to another through
sexual contact, and sometimes
genital contact. The causes of STDs are bacteria, parasites, yeast and
viruses. These infections often do not cause any symptoms, but some
signs and symptoms include vaginal discharge, people discharge, ulcers
on or around the genitals, and pelvic pain.
There are more than 30 types
of STDs, which include -chlamydia -Chancriod -Crabs -Genital herpes
-Genital warts -Gonorrhoea -Hepatitis B -Hiv/Aids -Human papillomavirus
(HPV) -Trichomoniasis -Molluscum con ta -Glosum -Pelvic inflammatory
disease (PID) -Scabies -Syphilis -Yeast infections. STDs are usually
spread by sex, and by non-sexual contact with contaminated blood and
tissue, breast feeding or during child birth. The most effective way of
preventing STDs is by having safe sex with the use of condom.
Circumcision in male may be effective to prevent some infections. Most
STDs are treatable or curable. Syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia are curable
while herpes, hepatitis B, Hiv/aids and HIV are tractable but not
curable. If a pregnant woman have STDs, it can cause serious health
problems for the baby. Antibiotic can treat STDs caused by yeast,
bacteria or parasite. There is no cure for STDs caused by a virus but
medicine helps and keep the disease under control.
